PER support at ND 2013 - April 11, 2012

The 2013 World Nuclear Data Conference to be held in Manhattan, NYC March 4-8, 2013 is holding a special session on nuclear/radiation/modern physics education.

The organizers are offering support for physics education researchers that can present relevant talks on physics teaching and learning and particularly on nuclear physics, QM, radiation or other related topics.

PERLOC 2012-2013 Conference Grants available - February 24, 2012

PERLOC is awarding grants up to $500 to PERTG members to defray the costs associated with attending and presenting at conferences. One larger grant will be considered for international travel for a graduate student.

This round of applications is for meetings held between June 1, 2012 - June 1, 2013. The deadline for applications is March 5, 2012.

Spring 2011 PER Scholar-in-residence Grants Solicitation - April 4, 2011

PERLOC is awarding 6-10 small grants to faculty, postdoc, and graduate student PERTG members for visiting another research group. The program seeks to assist scholars in crossing institutional boundaries to acquire and share skills and knowledge that promote rigorous physics education research.  Applications are due by April 25, 2011.

Postdoctoral Position, Oregon State University - March 16, 2011

The Paradigms in Physics group at Oregon State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar position involving the evaluation and dissemination of our novel upper-division curricular materials. This position includes teaching upper-division courses using materials developed by the Paradigms program and conducting research on the effects of Paradigms curricular materials on students.

European Journal of Physics Education - February 14, 2011

The aim of the European Journal of Physics Education is to disseminate original theoretical and empirical research on physics education and (physics, chemistry, biology) education. Contributions are invited from the international community of researchers.
