SEI: Junior E&M I Course Materials - Homework
written by
Steven J. Pollock and Stephanie Viola Chasteen
supported by the National Science Foundation published by the Science Education Initiative
This homework question collection was constructed over the course of four semesters of a transformed junior-level Electricity and Magnetism course on electro- and magneto-statics. Many questions are related to textbook problems, but with added elements of explanation, sense-making, estimation or approximation, real-world connections, and multiple-representations.
Not all these homework questions were used in the course design project. Some problems used include detailed instructor notes, including statistics on student performance on each homework problem assigned. The homework solutions are only available to instructors by writing the authors, Steven.Pollock@colorado.edu This material was developed as part of a education research-based course transformation for junior level E&M. All of the resources developed for this course are available, sorted by individual topic and type, at http://www.compadre.org/psrc/items/Relations.cfm?ID=7891.
