This is the 3rd Edition of the book Culturally Responsive Teaching, released in 2018. Author Geneva Gay has made significant revisions to her foundational text, originally published in 2000 and considered a pioneering work in the introduction of Culturally Relevant Education pedagogy. The 3rd Edition includes a focus on newer research in culturally responsive teaching, exploration of a broader range of racial and ethnic groups, consideration of additional issues related to early childhood education, more attention to the quality of life for students of color in colleges and universities, and the addition of "Practice Possibilities" at the end of each chapter to connect theory with practice.
