Journal Article Detail Page

written by Ron Berger
Most educators are familiar with the Bloom's Taxonomy cognitive framework, initially introduced in 1956 and revised in 2001. This editorial examines whether either version presents a viable vision of learning, which, the author argues, is not a hierarchical or linear process. The author posits that overreliance on Bloom's Taxonomy can blind instructors to the integrated process that takes place in students' minds as they learn.
