| Abstract Title: | Student Difficulties with Quantum Operators Corresponding to Observables |

| Abstract: | To investigate the difficulties that upper-level undergraduate and graduate students have with quantum operators in the context of Dirac notation, we administered free-response and multiple-choice questions and conducted individual interviews with students. We find that students display common difficulties with these topics. Results will be discussed. This work is supported by the National Science Foundation. |
