Abstract Title: Exploring the Underlying Factors in Learning Assistant - Faculty Partnerships
Abstract: An effective Learning Assistant (LA) Program can provide a variety of benefits for both LAs and faculty.  By analyzing LA and faculty reflections, as well as weekly preparation sessions we can better understand the partnerships that develop between faculty members and their Learning Assistants (LAs).  We leverage a combination of qualitative and quantitative data to better understand what types of skills faculty value and how this affects the formation of these partnerships.  We also present a tool that faculty and LAs can use to reflect on the type of partnerships they have in constructing effective learning environments.
