Abstract Title: The Case for the Study of the Effectiveness of Active Learning Strategies at Community Colleges
Abstract: An analysis of PER studies reported in the literature (Cid, 2016) reveals how little emphasis has been placed on the study of community college physics students.  Community College students and community college classes are very different from those typically studied in PER.  Those differences and what effectiveness means at community colleges are discussed   The nature of those differences and the lack of data leave the effectiveness of "proven strategies" at community colleges in question.
