Abstract Title: What was, is and will be Physics Education Research
Abstract: Physics Education Research has been a new and important part of the physics and education landscape for over forty years. The field has evolved significantly since the introduction of research articles in the American Journal of Physics, the creation of Phys Rev PER, and the start of PERC in 1997. This session will facilitate a discussion with invited speakers and the audience to discuss the past, present, and future of the field of PER.
