Abstract Title: Living Within the Intersections
Abstract Type: Workshop
Abstract: This 1-hour workshop will take an in-depth look at what it means to be intersectional and what it means to truly be an ally and go from being an ally to being an "accomplice." After learning the basic and hearing a pre-recorded interview of an intersectional person, participants will then take part in group discussion on how we can best assist people who are intersectional. This is an intermediate level workshop and requires group participation and discussion to help relate the content to their everyday lives and work, and will help give them "action items" to take back to their schools and workplaces.
