| Abstract: | In times shaped by rapid technological advancements and the emergence of generative AI, it's imperative the physics curriculum evolves to meet the changing demands of the workforce. This presentation introduces a novel employability course designed for undergraduate physics students, explicitly embedding key transferable skills such as reflective practice, creative thinking, AI literacy, networking, communication, leadership, teamwork and adaptability. Rooted in current physics education research and mapped to employer expectations, the course leverages real-world scenarios and AI-enabled tools to bridge academic content with career readiness. We discuss how the course integrates seamlessly into the core curriculum, fostering both technical expertise and professional competences demanded in diverse career paths. Preliminary outcomes and feedback from student suggest improved confidence in workplace skills and greater engagement with career planning. This presentation will explore how physics departments can future-proof their graduates by aligning educational experiences with the realities of a rapidly evolving employment landscape. |
