| Abstract: | Since 2022, OPTYCs has sponsored the PER-Interest Group, which has carried out numerous journal club sessions, mini-workshops and discussion sessions focused on PER and how it applies to the two-year college (TYC) physics classroom. Many TYC faculty who have participated in these events have indicated their desire to learn more about the development, selection, and use of research-based assessment instruments. During the 2025-2026 academic year, OPTYCs will sponsor a monthly series of informational sessions on research-based assessments. The goal of the series is to provide a discussion of a wide variety of RBAIs that are relevant to the TYC physics classroom. |
