The PER_NGSS-L listserv is comprised of people involved at some level with Physics Education Research and with the Next Generation Science Standards. This includes efforts to make sure the standards reflect what we know about learning physics but also involvement with the large-scale implementation issues that will happen once they are adopted in curriculum, teacher development, assessment, and research to support those. The listserv is open to both people who support standards and state level assessment, as well as those who have reservations about them but recognize that they are a current reality in K-12 education and seek to make the best out of it.
