UMPERG is -- or rather, WAS -- the University of Massachusetts Physics Education Research Group. During the 2008-2009 academic year, all active group members (Gerace, Leonard, and Beatty) relocated to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, to found the UNCG Physics Education Research group and to spearhead an interdisciplinary initiative in science education research.
