The Colorado School of Mines (CSM) is a unique university dedicated to the sciences, engineering, and high technologies, with modern facilities and innovative research centers.
The physics department has and 30 faculty (23 tenured or tenure-track). Over 230 undergraduate majors and 75 graduate students are involved in the Physics program. The department offers an ABET accredited B.S. in Engineering Physics, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied Physics.
There are several projects involving educational research within the department:
1) Hybrid Lecture/Studio in Introductory Physics
2) HP Tablet PC implementations in Intermediate E&M
3) Engagement methods in Intermediate Mechanics
